Our
Brides
Each gown is individually shaped to the bride, never treated as standard. Explore what is possible through precision work.
Every transformation begins with a consultation and a clear plan.
Real Transformations.
Real Brides.
Every bride in this gallery came to Margo West with a gown and a vision. Some wanted dramatic structural transformations. Complete silhouette changes, neckline redesigns, or the addition of couture elements that didn’t exist in the original gown. Others needed precision alterations that brought a beautiful dress into true couture fit. Some came with heirloom gowns that needed to be restored and reimagined for a modern bride.
In every case, the goal was the same: a gown that feels like it was made for this specific woman, on this specific day. What you see in this gallery is the result of 40 years of couture craftsmanship applied to the most important garment most women will ever wear.
Margo West and Lisa Handy work personally on every gown that comes through the studio. There is no team of assistants finishing the work. What you see here is the direct result of two women who have spent their careers perfecting this craft.
Gowns From Our Studio
Lauren & Dakota’s
Wedding Day
Lauren came to Margo West after struggling to find a gown that fit her vision perfectly. She had the dress. But it needed to become her dress. Over several fittings at our Dallas Design District studio, Margo transformed the silhouette and added custom details that made it completely one of a kind.
“I walked down the aisle feeling like the most beautiful version of myself. Margo turned my dream into something I could actually wear. I will never be able to thank her enough.”

What Goes Into Every
Margo West Transformation
Every bride in this gallery came to us with a vision. Some clear, some barely formed. What they all share is that they left with a gown that felt unmistakably, completely theirs. Not what the rack offered. Not what the boutique had in their size. What they actually wanted.
At Margo West Bridal Couture, we don't treat any two gowns. Or any two brides. The same. Each alteration begins with a listening session. We want to understand not just the dress, but the woman wearing it, the wedding she's walking toward, and the feeling she wants to carry down the aisle.
The transformations you see here range from a simple hem and bustle to complete silhouette redesigns that other Dallas designers refused to attempt. A neckline raised. A ballgown converted to a sleek column. Illusion lace added to bare shoulders. Vintage lace re-attached to a modern cut. This is not alteration work. This is couture craftsmanship applied to your most important garment.

Why Dallas Brides Choose Us
The Studio That Says Yes
When Others Say No
We Do the Work Others Refuse
Dramatic silhouette changes. Neckline redesigns. Adding couture sleeves to sleeveless gowns. If you've been told "that's not possible," bring it to us. We specialize in exactly those transformations.
Every Fitting Is Personal
Margo and Lisa work directly with every bride. You're never handed off to a junior seamstress. The couturière who takes your measurements is the same one who finishes your gown.
Satisfaction Is Guaranteed
We don't hand you a finished gown and call it done. We fit, adjust, and refine until every bride walks out feeling exactly how she imagined. Your happiness is what matters most.

Our Brides?
Book your consultation at our Dallas Design District studio. The gown of your dreams starts with one conversation.
More Than a Gallery
Behind each photo in this gallery is a consultation, a series of fittings, and a final moment when the bride stepped into her finished gown and saw herself. Truly herself. For the first time. That moment is why Margo West has been doing this work for 40 years. It does not get ordinary. It does not get routine. Every transformation is singular, because every bride is singular.
If you see a result in this gallery that resembles what you’re imagining for yourself, bring that image to your consultation. If you see something that’s similar but not quite. Bring that too. The conversation is always a starting point, not a final answer. What we build together is always something that didn’t exist before.
The Work Behind
Every Gown
Wedding Dress Alterations
From precision hemming to full bodice reconstructions, alterations represent the full range of what Margo West does. We adjust fit at the bust, waist, hips, and hem. We take in gowns purchased two sizes too large. We let out gowns that no longer fit after body changes. Every alteration is a couture project. Not a quick fix. Learn more about alterations →
Custom Couture Gowns
Some gowns in this gallery were built entirely from scratch. Designed in a two-hour collaborative session, patterned from muslin, and constructed in the fabric and embellishments each bride selected. These are one-of-a-kind pieces that will never be reproduced. Explore our custom gown process →
Design Additions
Sleeves added to strapless gowns. Trains where there were none. Beading and lace that transformed simple dresses into statements. These design additions are built to look original. As though the gown was always designed that way. See what design additions can do →
Heirloom Gown Restoration
We restore and reimagine vintage gowns passed down through families. Some transformations started with a 30-year-old dress that needed to become a 2025 bridal gown without losing its sentimental value. We preserve what matters. We update what needs updating. Learn about heirloom restoration →
