Yes. Margo West Bridal Couture in Dallas offers same-week emergency pressing and steaming for brides with upcoming weddings. Contact us as soon as possible to confirm availability at (972) 918-9750. We understand how time-sensitive bridal care can be and we make every effort to accommodate urgent needs.
We safely care for all common bridal fabrics including silk satin, chiffon, organza, lace, tulle, duchess satin, mikado, crepe, and jersey. Our equipment allows precise temperature control for each fabric type. We always do a test press on an inconspicuous area before working on the main gown.
Our professional measurements include full bust, waist, hips, hollow-to-floor, shoulder width, arm length, back length, and torso length. These are taken by Margo West personally and recorded for use in all alteration and custom gown work. Accurate measurements are the single most important factor in a well-fitting gown.
A standard bridal gown pressing takes 2-4 hours depending on the complexity of the skirt, the fabric type, and the level of detail. Ball gowns with full skirts and multiple layers take longer than sheath silhouettes. We’ll give you a time estimate when you bring your gown in.
“My gown was badly wrinkled from shipping from New York. I called Margo’s studio three days before my wedding. She fit me in the next morning and the gown looked absolutely pristine. I was in tears. Of relief. She saved my wedding day.”
“The measurements Margo took were incredibly precise. She caught that my left shoulder sits lower than my right. Something no other shop had noticed. And she accounted for it in all the alterations. That’s the difference a real expert makes.”
“I’d been storing my gown for two years before finally deciding to have it steamed for my bridal portraits. Margo restored every inch of it. The full skirt had full volume again and every pleat was perfect. Absolutely worth it.”
