2-Hour Design Session
A private session with Margo. You bring your inspiration. Photos, Pinterest boards, fabric swatches, anything. She listens, asks questions, and begins sketching your gown before you leave.
Each gown is created from concept to completion with precision and intention. Begin your design with a private consultation.
Your consultation is the first step in creating a gown designed entirely around you.
Every bride is different. Every love story is different. So why should every wedding gown be the same?
At Margo West Bridal Couture in Dallas’s Design District, we design and build fully bespoke wedding gowns from the first sketch to the final stitch. No pattern pulled from a catalog. No sample gown adjusted. Just your vision, realized with 40+ years of couture craftsmanship.
The process begins with a 2-hour design consultation where Margo learns everything about your vision. Silhouette, fabric, details, the feeling you want when you walk down the aisle. From there, we sketch, you approve, and we build.
“Designing a custom gown isn’t just sewing to measurements. It’s learning how a woman moves, how she holds herself, what makes her feel most like herself. That’s what makes the difference.”Schedule a Design Consultation
Every custom gown at Margo West includes a full design journey. Not just a measurement and a pattern. This is what you get when you say yes.
A private session with Margo. You bring your inspiration. Photos, Pinterest boards, fabric swatches, anything. She listens, asks questions, and begins sketching your gown before you leave.
A detailed sketch of your custom gown with fabric swatches attached. You approve (and can refine) before a single seam is sewn. Your vision, confirmed before we cut.
Before any luxury fabric is cut, a muslin mock-up is built to your exact measurements. Fit is perfected at this stage. You feel the silhouette. You confirm the drape.
The gown is built in your chosen fabrics with multiple fittings along the way. Final delivery includes pressing, a garment bag, and care instructions. Ready 2–4 weeks before your wedding.
Building a bespoke gown takes time, collaboration, and artistry. Here’s how the process unfolds. Beginning to end.
Book your private session with Margo. Bring everything that inspires you. She listens, sketches, and defines the design direction. Fabric and embellishment options reviewed. Sketch and quote provided before you leave.
Margo refines the sketch based on any feedback. You approve the design and fabric selections. Specialty laces, silks, tulle, and embellishments are sourced. Production begins only after your signature approval.
A full mock-up in muslin is constructed to your measurements. You wear it, move in it, and confirm the silhouette, proportions, and structure. All refinements are made before a single inch of your luxury fabric is cut.
The gown is constructed with ongoing fittings as each stage completes. Beading, lace application, embellishment work, and finishing details are applied by hand. You’re involved at every milestone.
The completed gown is yours to try on for the first time in full. Final minor adjustments are made on the spot. The gown is pressed, protected, and delivered in a custom garment bag. Ready for your wedding day.
Custom gown timelines are 6–12 months. Booking early ensures the best timeline and fabric availability. Ready to start? Schedule your consultation today.
Each gown is one of a kind. Built in Dallas. Worn once in a lifetime.

“Margo designed a gown that was better than anything I had seen in any boutique. She took my idea. A clean modern silhouette with my grandmother’s lace worked in. And turned it into something extraordinary. I will never forget the moment I first put it on.”

“I searched every bridal shop in Dallas and couldn’t find a gown that felt right. Then I booked a consultation with Margo. Within two hours she had sketched exactly what I had in my head. Six months later I walked down the aisle in a gown that existed nowhere else in the world.”

“The muslin fitting process was one of my favorite parts. I got to feel the silhouette, suggest changes, and feel totally confident before the real fabric was cut. The final gown was absolutely perfect. Not a single thing I would change.”
